Bruce E. Herber, 65, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday afternoon, June 15, 2019, at his home after an illness. Born on October 3, 1953, in Sandusky, OH the son of August Edward and Evva June (Walters) Herber Bruce had attended Huron High School. Over the years, he had worked as a mechanic at several local garages and businesses, he last worked at Sandusky Biscuit until 2003. Bruce loved all types of animals, but he will especially be remembered by his family as a die hard Cleveland Indians fan and how he enjoyed building models. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lisa M. (Ford) Herber whom he married on July 17, 1997; a son, Seth (Jenny) Canterbury of Chesapeake, VA: a daughter, Shea (Michael) McGill of Sandusky; 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Cora, Asher, Jacob and John; a sister, Donna (Leo) Cottrell of Clarksville, TN; and a brother, Bob (Stacey) Herber of Huron; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son in infancy; and a brother in infancy, William Herber. It was his wish to be cremated. A "Celebration of Bruce's Life" will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019, from 4-6 pm at the Victory Temple Church, 1619 W. Strub Road, Sandusky. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Erie County Humane Society, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, OH 44870. Arrangements are entrusted to the David F.
