Betty J (Wright) Leech

 Betty J. (Wright) Leech, 89, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Thursday evening, August 31, 2017, surrounded by her family at the Commons of Providence Memory Care Center, Sandusky.
   Born on November 3, 1927, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of James Batan and Edna Marie (Gielow) Wright.  She was a 1945 graduate of Sandusky High School.  Betty had worked at Sandusky High School, in the office, for nearly 15 years, before retiring in 1976.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and the grandchildren over the years.
   Betty was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
   She is survived by a son, Jeffrey L. (Linda) Leech of Bonita Springs, FL; two daughters,  Nancy J. (Jerry) Parker and Barbara J. (Clint) Tinker, both of Sandusky; 8 grandchildren, Michael (Kristy) Parker, Matthew (Cheryl) Parker and Jeffrey Parker, Lindsey A. (Jeff) Mason, Kelly J. (Michael) Lento, Kathryn J. (Drew) Mohr, Meghann and Adam P. Tinker; eleven great-grandchildren, Cole M., Kaylee, Nolan and Emmett Parker, Katie and Emily Mason, Sean, Addy and Caleb Lento, Elliana and Mia Mohr.
   Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 57 years, Lowell W. Leech (March 27, 2005).
   At her request, services will be private.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
