Beatrice Mary (Jacalone) Poggiali

   Beatrice M. "Bea" Poggiali, 100, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Friday evening, August 24, 2018, surrounded by her family at the Providence Care Center, Sandusky.
   Born on November 20, 1917, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Carl and Frances (Nickols) Jacalone.   For over 20 years, she had worked at the Caryl Crane Store and later volunteered at Care and Share, until the age of 99.  She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
   Bea is survived by her family, Joseph (Joanne) Poggiali of Zephyrhills, FL, Jackie (Larry Kaufman) Powell of Sandusky, Jim (Rochelle) Poggiali of Huron, Tom (Fran) Poggiali of Ormond Beach, FL, Mary Ann Poggiali of Worthington, Mike (Lynn) Poggiali of St. Augustine, FL, and Jeff (Betsy) Poggiali of Sandusky; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; a sister, Genevieve Bing of Sandusky; and a brother, Richard (Joyce) Jacalone of Lansing, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 74 years, Joseph J. Poggiali on June 15, 2013; and a sister, Ida Mae Pluckhorn.
   It was her wishes to be cremated.  The family will receive friends on Saturday morning, September 1, 2018, from 9 am until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Matt Frisbee will be officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Columbarium, Sandusky.
   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Care and Share, 241 Jackson Street, Sandusky, OH 44870.
   Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
