   Agnes R. “Aggie” Monak, 88, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, January 12, 2018 at Providence Care Center, Sandusky, surrounded by all of her children.

   Born on July 6, 1929 in Attica, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Frances (Kimmet) Faeth. She was a graduate of Delphos St. John High School in Delphos, Ohio. She was employed by Feddersen's Bakery and worked with her husband, Joe at Star Lanes. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church where she was involved with the bereavement committee. Aggie was an active volunteer at Providence Care Center and Community Supper Program.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Joseph Schnipke; her second husband, Paul Monak; her brother Arthur Faeth; and two sisters, Florence Hughes and Martha Hageman.

   Aggie leaves behind her nine children: Fran (Alejo) Leal in Sandusky, Gene Schnipke in Reno, Nevada, Rita Schnipke in Charlottesville, Virginia, Vern Schnipke in Sandusky, Joanne Lilje in Vickery (Pearl, deceased), Jackie (Rick) Gundrum in Castalia, Debbie (Larry) Schmid in Seffner, FL, Drew (Christina) Schnipke in Omaha, Nebraska, Alan (Tamie) Schnipke in West Carrollton, and 1 adopted daughter Yvonne Okyere in Charlottesville, Virginia; Aggie also leaves 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great, great children; Aggie also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, 1 sister-in-law, and countless friends.

  It was Aggie’s wish to be cremated.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning, January 16, 2018, from 9 am until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio. Fr. Joe Steinbauer officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870. Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio.

Our Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, and Great Great Grandma will be truly missed. We have always admired Aggie when she was alive and we will be continuing to tell of her legacy until we join her in heaven. If you knew Aggie, you knew her laugh and its amazing healing powers and ability to make us all laugh. Aggie has been the leader of our family since our Dad Joe died and she has successfully gotten us all through life's rough spots.
