Robert Alan Hiss

 Robert A. Hiss, 68, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully late Friday morning, April 5, 2024, with family at his side at the MetroHealth Medical Center, Main Campus, Cleveland, OH.

   Born on April 2, 1956, in Sandusky, OH the son of Norbert Frederick and Irene (Charette) Hiss.  He was a 1975 graduate St. Mary's Catholic High School. Bob had been working at Ventra Sandusky for the past few years and prior to that he had worked for over 30 years at NAPA Parts, in Sandusky.

   He enjoyed spending time with the family and the grandchildren and watching the Browns, Indians and his NASCAR races.

   Bob had been a member  of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the U.A.W.  Local #216.

   He is survived by his wife, Rose M. (Hineline) Hiss; his family, Caitlin (Caleb) Hitchcock of Sandusky, Michelle Ayers of Sandusky, Jennifer Wobser of Huron and Zi'Yon Scott of Sandusky; his grandchildren, Trinity, Brooklynn, Alexys, Brycen, Jace, Camilla, Sky'Ana, Jude, Cambrie, Londyn, Coby and Corinna; his sister, Nancy (Wayne) Zeller of Dayton; three brothers, David Hiss of Huron, Chuck (Liane) Hiss of Sandusky, and Joe Hiss of Norwalk, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

   Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Janet Hiss and Marjory Marcel

   Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  A funeral service will be held Monday morning, April 15, 2024, at 10 am at the funeral home.   Deacon Bill Burch officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
