Randy Ulery, Jr. Obituary

Randy L. "Moose" Ulery, Jr., 46, of Bellevue, passed away Friday evening, March 29, 2024, in a single car accident.

Born on December 23, 1977, in Sandusky, OH the son of Randy Lynn and Theresa Marie (Spicer) Ulery, Sr..  He was a 1996 graduate of Sandusky High School.  Randy had been working as a setup man at the Whirlpool Corporation, in Clyde, for the past 10 years, and prior to that, he had worked as a welder at Mack Iron Works and the Cedar Point Amusement Park.

Over the years, he enjoyed drinking his beer and playing cards with his special friends, Chris and Stacey. He especially looked forward to playing golf, which he loved, and had been a member of a variety of golf leagues in the area.  He also truly loved riding his Harley motorcycle around town.  Randy will be remembered for his accomplishments and his love for bowling, as a member of a variety of bowling leagues in the local area.  He had recently been inducted into the Sandusky United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame on April 15, 2023.  His accomplishments included seven perfect 300 games and four 299 games to his list of successes.

Randy was a member of Sons of AMVETS Post #17, Sons of American Legion Post #83, Sandusky Orioles Club Nest #279, Bellevue Eagles AERIE #490, and the Sandusky Athletic Club.

Randy is survived by his parents; his wife of 22 years, Crystal A. (McDonnell) Ulery, whom he married on November 11, 2001; his family, Bryana Lynn McDonnell of Bellevue, Kayla S. Mackall of Holiday, FL and Dylan J. Mackall of Bellevue; his three grandchildren, Abel Nolan Armstrong, Avah Virginia Grace Armstrong and Kai River Mackall;  his brother-in-laws, Tom (Molly) McDonnell of Columbus, and Rodney McDonnell of Irving, TX; and numerous other, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his twin granddaughters, Kendra and Jenna Armstrong; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his in-laws, Mike and Vicki (Ballard) McDonnell; an uncle, Larry Ulery; and two cousins, Ronnie Ulery, Jr. and Sierra Keys.

The family wished to have Randy cremated.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 3-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  They request that you don't dress up, which Randy would ask for since he hated those that dressed up for this occasion, but that you would come as you are, possibly dressed up in some of Randy's favorite team outfits (OSU Buckeyes, LA Dodgers, Raiders, or even your bowling shirt would be nice.)  A memorial service will be held for Randy on Sunday morning, April 7, 2024, at 12:00 pm at the funeral  home.  Rev. John King officiating.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his name to the family.
