Edward J. Pestovic

Edward J. “Ed” Pestovic, 85, of Catawba Island, OH passed away peacefully April 12, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer.

Born June 14, 1938 in Cleveland, OH, the son of Edward Jerome and Helen (Wlasuk) Pestovic. Ed was the beloved husband of Joanna “Jo” (Porelli) Pestovic for 59 years, who passed away on November 18, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Charlene Pestovic, who is the mother of two children and four grandchildren; loving father of Patricia Dickerson (Jerry Echelbarger) of Wauseon, OH and Rosemarie (Mike) Smith of Grove City, OH; brother of Betsy (Tony) Tomsic, Rose (Gale) Sounik, John (Marene) Pestovic, and Pauline (Ken) Stockdale. Dear grandfather of Nicholas (Swati) Saiben, Christopher (Lisa) Saiben, Brandon Dickerson, Ryan Dickerson, Ph.D, and Alyssa Smith (Seth Gothard); great grandfather to Lennon, Jayson, Lane, Mila, Makenna, and Crew.

Ed graduated from Lincoln High School in Cleveland, OH. He was an Executive Vice President of Advertising for major retail stores in Ohio and other states for 35 years. In days past Ed enjoyed boating, fishing, playing cards, spending time with his family, music, and dancing with Jo and Charlene. Ed will be remembered by his love for his family, outdoors, sunshine, and birdwatching.

At his request, no visitation or services will be held, and cremation will take place.
