Dear Mike, Sue, Martha, Amy, Cathie and family,

I am so sad to hear Uncle Jack is gone. It''''s probably selfish of me because I know he has gone to the Lord and is with Aunt Peg in a better place, but I will miss him so much. I am glad for his sake that he didn''''t have to suffer too long.

His great smile and laugh and all his silly jokes and card tricks that made me smile and laugh. Going over to the house and having the Indians game or golf on TV and him asking if I want a glass of milk or a beer! (sigh) I will really miss him!

In thinking back on growing up I always remember him there making us laugh and playing cards. He was so good at cards. I don''''t ever remember beating him! :) Sometimes Grandma (Aunt Mabel) did and that always made her day because it didn''''t happen very often! Really, I think both of them played for love of the game and they taught me to love playing too. What a great example they set for us of how to love, honor and take care of family.

I remember just before I first moved out west he called me up and said "well honey I wish you wouldn''''t go, but if you have to I understand." I wish I could be there now to say goodbye with you. I''''ll go to Mass tomorrow morning and remember him and pray for him. Please know that I''''m with you in spirit even if I can''''t be with you in person.
Sincerely,
Sarah
