Virginia Mae (Belz) Scheck

Virginia M. "Ginny" (Belz) Scheck, 84, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, July 16, 2017, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
   Born on November 8, 1932, In Cleveland, OH the daughter of Ewald Alexander and Betty Margaret (Lohn) Belz.  She was a graduate of St.  Stephen High School in Cleveland, OH and the Providence School of Nursing, in Sandusky, in 1953.  She was employed as a registered nurse at Providence Hospital for 38 years and later went on to work at Dr. Panju Prithviraj for ten years.
   Virginia was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
   She is survived b y three sons, Steven Scheck of Las Vegas, NV, Thomas and Gene Scheck both of Sandusky, OH; a daughter, Sue Roth of Huron; a granddaughter, Jennifer Roth of Huron; a sister, Jane Smith of Florida; and two brothers, David Belz of Minnesota and Kenneth Belz of Houston, TX.
   Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene A. Scheck (September 5, 2015); a sister, Marian Hanna; and two brothers, George and Joe Belz .
   Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017,  from 6-8 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Prayers will be recited Wednesday morning, July 19, 2017, at 9:30 am at the funeral home  followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Joe Steinbauer officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
