Mildred Janet (Missig) Sidoti

M. Janet (Missig) Sidoti, 80, of Sandusky passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, May 6, 2017, with her family at her side at Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky.
   Born on July 19, 1936, in Sandusky, the daughter of Edwin John and Mildred Anna (Link) Missig.   She was a 1955 graduate of Sandusky High School.  For nearly 50 years, she was the bookkeeper, at the family run business, Sidoti Automotive, retiring in 2010.
   Janet was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
   She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph C. Sidoti, whom she married on January 11, 1958; her daughter, Sara J. (Jerry) McLaughlin of Sandusky; and son Joseph N. Sidoti of Sandusky; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jessica and Chandler; and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don (Alice) Missig of Vermilion and Joe (Kathy) Loris of Sandusky; nieces and nephews.
   Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Joseph Loris; two sisters, Marian Linz and Corrine Niehm; and a brother, Edwin J. Missig.
   Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Prayers will be recited Thursday morning, May 11, 2017, at 9:40 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Matt Frisbee officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Sandusky.
   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870; the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, OH 44870; or to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
