Mary Jo "Jody" (Kaman) Pepitone, 72, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday afternoon, April 5, 2017, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
Born on December 27, 1944, in Sandusky, the daughter of Leo "Lom" Arthur and Corlis Ann (Clelland) Kaman. She was a 1964 graduate of St. Mary's High School. Jody loved spending her winters in Florida with her husband Joe. In her earlier days, she enjoyed bowling in local leagues, camping and crocheting. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles J. "Joe" Pepitone whom she married on November 21, 1964; a son, Joseph C. Pepitone of Sandusky; nieces and nephews.
Jody was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Geraldine A. "Gerri" Ruthsatz; three brothers, Jimmy in infancy, Eugene "Jack" and Ronald Kaman.
At her request, cremation has taken place. No visitation or funeral services will be held.
The family suggests that memorials contributions may be made in her memory to the Sandusky Lions Club Fund for the Blind of Erie County, P.O. Box 613, Sandusky, OH 44871 or to one's favorite charity.
Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
