Margaret A. Bartlebaugh, 95, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully Monday evening, May 1, 2017, with her family at her side in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
Born on May 19, 1921, in Tiffin, OH the daughter of Harry Arnold and Mildred Margaret (Kuns) Funk. She had worked at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Sandusky, for several years, before retiring. She loved reading, crocheting and especially traveling, having visited 49 of the 50 States over the years. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family and truly loved her grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Margaret is survived by two daughters, Carol Mellon-Turner and Sandra "Sandy" Burke both of Milan, OH; four sons, Louis (Laurie) Bartlebaugh, Rick Bartlebaugh and Jeff (Barb) Bartlebaugh all of Sandusky and George (Gina) Bartlebaugh of Fremont, OH; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Perkins of Willowick and Priscilla Stopleton of Jefferson, OH; two brothers, Clayton Carn of Luckey and Nelson Carn of Attica, OH; sister-in-law, Wendy Carn of Tiffin; and several nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Richard "Marc" Ksenich of Lorain, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Bartlebaugh (December 28, 1979); a granddaughter, Stefanie Stinchcomb; three brothers, James Funk, Bob and Cloyce Carn; and a very good friend, Carolyn "Daisy" Mitchell.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 3-6 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. At the request of the family, private graveside services will be held. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
