JoAnn Artino

JoAnn Artino, 64, of Sandusky, and at her request, an organ donor, passed away late Friday evening, April 14, 2017, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, after a lengthy battle with diabetes.
   Born on July 21, 1952, in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Joseph James and Mary (Oddo) Artino.  She was a 1969 graduate of Perkins High School.  Joann, over the years, had owned and operated Artino's Italian American Cuisine,  was the manager at Olan-Mills Studio and had worked at the Sandusky Register in telecommunications.
   She loved playing cards, especially with her friends, playing bingo and going out gambling.  She loved to talk on the phone and truly make people laugh.  She'll
be remembered by her family as being the life of the party at any of the events she would attended.
   JoAnn was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Sandusky Orioles Club and the I.A.B. Ladies Auxiliary.
   She is survived by her mother, Mary Artino of Huron; two daughters, Lisa (Joshua) Wobser of Sandusky and Linda Miranda of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren, Montia, Scott, Shanell, Noah, Mia and Damionna; three great-grandchildren, Justin, Jr., JaVon and  Ryan, Jr.; three brothers. Joey Artino of Tiffin , Sam (Vicki) Artino of Huron and Danny (Patty) Artino of Sandusky; special cousin, Rita Baus and several other relatives; and her special friends, Barbie, Pam and Jerry; nieces and nephews.
   JoAnn was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Artino; her husband, Roberto "Robert" Miranda; and her maternal grandmother, Mary (Oddo) Domenici.
   Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, from 4-6 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Prayers will be recited Thursday morning, April 20, 2017, at 9:40 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Private family burial services will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
