Dow "Joe" Joseph Weaver, Jr.

Dow J. "Joe" Weaver, Jr., 52, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly late Tuesday evening, March 28, 2017, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
   Born on October 13, 1964, in Sandusky, the son of Dow Joseph and Judith Estella (Newlun) Weaver, Sr..  Joe was a 1982 graduate of Perkins High School.  After graduation, he worked at Sandusky Plastics for many years until he became a mason, where he continued in that trade until his death.  Joe was a talented man, enjoying things like playing his guitar and as a novice artist, taking time to paint, sketch and draw.  You could always find Joe either at the pool, or hunting, cooking on the grill or just enjoying a Cameo pizza.  Joe took fashion advice from no one.  His signature everyday look was all his.  His fashion house of choice was a pair of Levi Strauss, a flannel shirt and work boots.
   Survived by two daughters, Tera Rabjohn of Sandusky and Kristin Weaver of Elyria; his father, Dow J. Weaver, Sr., of Sandusky; two sisters. Marylu (Dr. Jim) Meagher of Atascadero, CA and Cindi (Ed) Toll of Sandusky; three nieces, Kelsey Meagher, Colleen (Zachary) Pyle and Mackenzie Toll; and his companion, Mary Tucker of Sandusky.
   Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Judith E. Weaver on September 15, 2008.
   At the request of the family, private family funeral services are to be held.  Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery, Perkins Township, OH.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Trinity United Methodist Church, 214 E. Jefferson Street, Sandusky, OH 44870.
