Anna M. "Annie" Gnidovec, 79, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Monday afternoon, August 7, 2017, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
   Born on September 21, 1937, in Joliet, Illinois the daughter of Paul and Marie (Lawlor) Adams.  She had attended St. Patrick Elementary School and later graduated from St. Francis Academy in 1956.  For many years, she worked with her husband, Gene, at French-Tex Cleaners, before retiring in 2000.  Annie was devoted to her family and always enjoyed a hot cup of coffee with them.  She loved going to the Jackson Street Pier with her husband and her cherished dogs, Clyde and Cali.  Annie was proud of her Irish heritage and loved her trip to Ireland.
   She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Eugene A. "Gene" Gnidovec, Sr., whom she married on October 18, 1958; four sons, Jeff (Angie) Gnidovec of Sandusky,  Geno (Kimberly) Gnidovec, Jr. of Wakeman, Steve Gnidovec of Sandusky; and Michael (Liz) Gnidovec of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Bethany (Tyler) Morehart, Matthew (fiancee, Sarah Pescok) Gnidovec, Kimberly and Jillian Gnidovec.; two great-grandchildren, Alaina and Hudson Morehart.
   Annie was preceded in death by her parents.
   Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017, from 4-7 pm at the David F. Koch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Prayers will be recited Saturday morning, August 12, 2017, at 9:40 am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.  Fr. Matt Frisbee officiating with co-celebrant, Father Frank Kehres.  At her request, following the services cremation will take place.
   The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Building Fund, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870.
